'Those women in the basement in Cleveland had more space'

The words rolled from the lips of Joan Rivers as she appeared on the Today's show with her daughter. Rivers talked about her reality show, and compared her daughter's guest bedroom to the space Berry, DeJesus and Knight were forced to live in.

Rivers referred to Amanda Berry, 27, Gina DeJesus, 23, and Michelle Knight, 32, who for over a decade were tortured and held captive.

Ariel Castro, Berry, DeJesus, Knight's kidnapper, pleaded guilty to charges of kidnapping, torture, rape.

"They got to live rent free for more than a decade," Rivers.

"I'm a comedienne. I know what those girls went through. It was a little, stupid joke. There is nothing to apologize for," Rivers.

"Our clients have become aware of Joan Rivers' unfortunate comparison of living in her daughter's guest room to their captivity," Attorneys for DeJesus and Berry.

The remark is "a new low" that warrants an apology, Attorneys continued.

'We Are Not Dead Yet'

"No phone connection so there is no Internet connection. So just sending text message. There are few people on the ship, can't see a thing, it's totally dark. So there are few men and women, women are screaming."

The above text was sent by one of the two-hundred-eighty-seven people, mostly high school students, taking a field trip that was trapped inside a South Korean ferry.

One-hundred-seventy-nine people were rescued, nine thought to be deceased.

They could still be alive, according to authorities.

Bad weather conditions kept rescuers from getting to the ship's air pockets where people could be, authorities.

An attempt to pump air, oxygen, into the ferry failed.

Family and friends are frustrated, in a state of disbelief.

The ferry rolled on its side, disappeared into the water.

Many questions are being asked by authorities like: Was the ferry off-course? Did it hit something? What?

Questions for the captain continue to stack-up.

Heartbleed Bug Help

The Heartbleed Bug affects businesses, groups, you and me. The Internet Bug exposes credit card information, passwords and gives cyber-criminals access to stealing your life.

Heartbleed is an error, vulnerability, in the OpenSSL that most web sites use to keep user data safe. In other words, the encryption technology has been compromised.

It's suggested by Experts to change passwords of any web site you frequent that has "sensitive" information.

Consider the following before picking a password.

1. A password should never be easily guessed by a friend or relative.

2. Think of a place to secure passwords from roaming eyes.

4. Make passwords nine letters, numbers or symbols long, at least.

5. The word smilingme can be made into a safer password.

6. Stir-in capital as well as lower cased letters: S m I l N G m E.

7. Sprinkle in a number: S m I l N G m E 4.

8. Throw in a symbol: S m I l N G @ m E 4.

The new password is S m I l N G @ m E 4.

Continue to create passwords like the one above for web sites you visit.

Heartbleed Internet Bug

The Heartbleed Internet Bug affects large and small online businesses in that your personal information can be stolen. Credit card information, e-mails and passwords are sitting ducks for cyber-criminals.

Cyber-criminals will pluck-up your information and the Web site's data you visited.

Heartbleed is an error, flaw, in OpenSSL that two thirds of Web servers use. You know the Web servers. A lock icon sits in the browser to assure visitors information they're departing with isn't being seen by people who have bad intentions.

The problem was uncovered last week and shared Monday.

Address the issue as soon as possible if you've visited a compromised web site. You may have to change passwords or contact your bank in person. It isn't wise to do it through e-mails or online.

Google, Facebook, Amazon and Yahoo have announced they've taken measures to secure their web sites.

Compromised web sites must close-out SSL certificates, get new ones and upgrade to the path version.

Gunman: Fort Hood

The gunman, Ivan Lopez, killed 3 people and injured 16 before killing himself at Fort Hood.

Authorities are still sifting through information about the gunman and his surrounding actions.

Authorities believe Lopez was involved in a confrontation with another soldier before using a .45 caliber pistol.

There is a "strong possibility" that mentally unstable Army soldier Lopez had a confrontation with one or more soldiers before the Wednesday blood-shed, Lt. General Mark Milley.

There's a Facebook page under the name of Ivan Slipknot.

The Facebook page displays photos of Lopez in and out of uniform.

Lopez was fond of the band Slipknot per his Facebook page.

Despite reports of a confrontation, Lopez's mental woes were still considered the likeliest explanation for the killings, Milley.

Lopez was in the process of being diagnosed with PTSD.

The military families are, no doubt, upset, stressed, to say the least.
