Maid Calls 911 On Monday After Finding 5 Dead Teenagers in Hotel Room

Ask me a question, or leave
me a comment.

It's believed carbon monoxide
from a running car killed five
teenage friends whose bodies were
found in a South Florida motel room.

A maid dialed 911 on Monday after
seeing people unconscious through
a window per a Hialeah fire spokesman.

The teens' deaths appear to be
accidental, Carl Zogby police spokesman.

He stated detectives found smoke detectors
in the garage and the motel room, but not
sure if the devices were working or able
to pick up carbon monoxide, the Herald
reported.

The car used by the teens was found
running in a closed garage underneath
the room. Friends say the car needed a
jump-start earlier and could have been
left running to preserve the battery's
charge.

Officials stated that they didn't find
alcohol, drugs or any suspicious items
in the room.

The five teenagers were celebrating a
friend's birthday.

Susan Boyle's Blunder On Live TV

Ask me a question, or leave
me a comment.

Susan Boyle blundered mid-way
through a song on live TV this
morning. United States viewers
saw the Scottish singer start to
cough, held her stomach as she
stopped.

'Can we do it again?' Boyle moved
away from the microphone, unaware
she was on live TV.

Boyle, 49, was singing the Christmas
carol O Holy Night on The View.

'Oh my God, beautiful,' host Sherri
Shepherd, as she rushed to Susan's
side with co-host Whoopi Goldberg.

'I'm sorry, I had a bit of a frog in
my throat,' Boyle said.
The mishap was witnessed by viewers on
the East Coast, but Boyle re-recorded
the song for the rest of the country.

Boyle appeared on the NBC tonight for
their 'Christmas In Rockefeller Center'
where she sang Away In A Manger, with
no frogs to tickle her throat.

Boyle is promoting her second album.

Fake Doctor: Man Or Woman?

Ask me a question, or leave me
a comment.

An Idaho judge set bond at $100,000
for a Boise woman police say posed
as a doctor and deceived at least
two other women into having their
breasts examined by her at Boise
area nightclubs/bars.

Kristina Ross, 37, remains is in Ada
County Jail on two felony counts of
practicing medicine without a license.

His/her gender is unclear. Idaho court
records show that Ross was arrested for
petty theft in the spring, and the arrest
warrant was issued to a Kristoffer Jon
Ross.

The Idaho Statesman web site reported that
Ross has a previous criminal record as a man,
but identifies herself as a woman that was
booked into Ada County Jail as a female.

The court found Ross was eligible for a public
defender and set a preliminary hearing on the
two felony charges for December 1.

The two women told Boise officers they believed
Ross was a doctor because of her medical knowledge,
and they agreed to undergo what they thought were
breast exams at the nightclubs/bars.

To appear legitimate, Ross gave the women the
telephone number of a real licensed plastic
surgeon in Boise per authorities.

If convicted, Ross could face a maximum of five
years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000 for
each count.

Judge Allows Four-Year-Olds To Be Sued

Ask me a question, or leave
me a comment.

The suit Justice Wooten allowed
to go forward claims that in April
2009, Juliet Breitman and Jacob Kohn,
both 4, raced their bicycles while
their mothers supervised- Dana
Breitman and Rachel Kohn. Place: A
Manhattan, NY sidewalk/building on
East 52nd Street.

During the race, they struck an 87-
year-old woman, Claire Menagh, who
walked in front of the building and,
per the complaint, was "seriously and
severely injured," suffered a hip
fracture that required surgery. She
died three months later of unrelated
causes.

Menagh's estate sued the children and
their mothers, claimed they acted
negligently during the accident.

Breitman's lawyer, James P. Tyrie,
argued that the girl was not "engaged
in an adult activity" at the time of
the accident. "She was riding her bicycle
with training wheels under the supervision
of her mother," and was too young to be
held liable for negligence.

Tyrie also argued that Juliet should not be
held liable because her mother was present.

"A parent's presence alone does not give a
reasonable child carte blanche to engage in
risky behavior such as running across a street,"
the judge wrote. He added that any "reasonably
prudent child," who presumably has been told to
look both ways before crossing a street, should
know that dashing out without looking is dangerous,
with or without a parent there. The crucial factor
is whether the parent encourages the risky behavior.
If so, the child should not be held accountable.

The ruling by Justice Paul Wooten, of State Supreme
Court in Manhattan, did not find that the girl was
liable, but allowed a lawsuit brought against her,
another boy and their parents to move forward.

Fran Crippen's Death Under Investigation

Ask me a question, or leave me
a comment.

Fran Crippen, 26, was an
experienced distance swimmer.
His Conshohocken, Pennsylvania
family/friends and fellow swimmers
found it hard to believe on Monday
that the United Arab Emirates announced
"drowning" as the cause of the aspiring
Olympian's death.

USA Swimming, the U.S. competitive swimming
governing body, stated Monday that it would
do its own investigation, independent of a
probe by FINA, which staged the World Cup
event at al-Fujayrah.

"We are going to go through every avenue to
see how this could happen," Maddy Crippen-his
sister, herself a former Olympic swimmer.
"There should not be a drowning at a swimming
event," she continued. "He was at the top of
his game."

"Fran wanted to make sure that we were doing
everything right," she said. "He was going to
take that cause on himself. He wanted to be
the face of open water swimming."

"We have never researched our sport like other
sports have," Steven Munatones, a current member
of the FINA open water technical committee.

"There is no information on heat exhaustion in the
water," said Munatones. He, also, edits a web site
devoted to open water swimming.

Thomas Lurz, the German who won the al-Fujayrah event,
remarked on Sunday that the air/water temperatures
were dangerously high. Lurz said the water was at
least 86 degrees, but one official explained it was
84. Three other swimmers were hospitalized per reports.

"He loved what he was doing," his mother, Patricia
Crippen. "He loved to train."

They're Grabbing and Groping: Pilot Says

Ask me a question, or leave me
a comment.

Michael Roberts, 35, a pilot for
ExpressJet Airlines, said, "No"
to a full-body scan last week at
a Transportation Security Administration
check-point at Memphis International
Airport- Memphis, Tennessee.

He's the pilot who refused to submit to
a full body scan, or the pat down going
through airport security.

"Pat down is misleading," Roberts explained.
"They concentrate on the area between the
upper thighs and torso, and they're not just
patting people's arms and legs, they're
grabbing and groping and prodding pretty
aggressively."

Roberts pointed-out that the Transportation
Security Administration's measures are
ineffective, and cited concerns for his
rights and privacy in refusing the procedures.

Roberts said he had been going through security
at Memphis without incident for 4 ½ years. Friday
was his first time at the check-point since new
scanning equipment was installed.

"I'm not trying to throw down the gauntlet with
the federal government per se," he said. "I just
want to be able to go to work and not be harassed
or molested without cause.... I'm just not
comfortable being physically manhandled by a
federal security agent every time I go to work."

The incident was the first of its kind at the
Memphis airport since the agency began advanced
imaging technology, or full body X-ray scanners,
at the airport in September, Transportation
Security Administration's spokesman Jon Allen.

Roberts is waiting to find out whether his protest
would cost him his job.

Reinforced Rescue Tunnel For Chilean Miners

Ask me a question, or leave
me a comment.

Sunday, rescue workers reinforced
an escape tunnel that will be used
to free 33 trapped miners in Chile.
The first miner is to be lifted early
Wednesday morning, more than two months
after an accident that left them sealed
off from the world above.

Sixteen steel tubes are being implanted
atop of the nearly 700 yard shaft in a
move to prevent the rock walls from
crumbling in to stop an escape.

The Chilean government analyzed the shaft,
Sunday, via video cameras. Geologists
concluded most of the tunnel is solid
rock, and small chance of a cave in.

Officials are concerned about the capsule
getting struck in lower sections of the shaft.

"We are going to double check everything
that is necessary until we are convinced
that the system functions," explained
Laurence Golborne, Chile's mining minister.

Rescue recommended to the men that they
decide what order they will exit up the
rescue shaft.

The Chilean health minister, Jaime Manalich,
told reporters that several men wished to be
last to leave the mine in what he called "a
completely admirable show of solidarity."

"We imported fabric, measured them and stitched
their names on the suits," Alejandro Pino, from
the Asociacion Chilena de Seguridad, the work-place
insurance company that is legally responsible for
assisting the mine workers. "It is a fabric that
pulls perspiration away from the body, so they
won't feel the humidity."

When the men are freed, they will be accompanied
through the hall-way where doctors, nurses and
psychologists await. A 48-hour diagnosis begins.

Victor Perez Rushes to Free Abducted 8-Year-Old Girl

Ask me a question, or leave
me a comment.

Victor Perez, 29, chased after
a vehicle believed to be holding
an abducted 8-year-old girl in
Fresno, California.

Perez saw the television news coverage
of the abduction, paid attention to the
description of the suspect's pick-up
truck.

Perez, father of two boys, talked with
his cousin about it. The cousins saw a
vehicle that matched the description of
the suspect's vehicle.

"I thought, that could be the truck,"
Perez explained to CNN Tuesday night.

He hopped into his 1988 white Ford pick-up
and followed, tried to cut off the vehicle
a few times to talk with the driver.

"I don't have no time to talk. My battery is
dying." The driver insisted.

A second time Perez pulled close to the
Chevy. He saw the little girl, head hidden
below view and knew something wasn't right.

"I kept telling him, 'That's not your little
girl,'" Perez explained. "We argued. We
exchanged words. I was beyond scared."

The Chevy rode away, but Perez had a partial
license plate number, which he gave to
dispatchers- Police Chief Jerry Dyer.

Police caught up with the truck, about 40
minutes later, and arrested Gregorio Gonzalez,
24, of Fresno. Charges will include kidnapping,
false imprisonment and sexual assault, Dyer
informed. The suspect was not armed.

Wisconsin Prosecutor Texted Sexual Harassment

Ask me a question, or leave
me a comment.

Madison, Wisconsin's Governor
Jim Doyle, yesterday, announced
that he planned to start the
removal process of a prosecutor
who texted sexual harassment to a
domestic abuse victim.

Wisconsin governors have the power
to remove county district attorneys
and other officials.

Governor Doyle, at a news conference,
was horrified with the behavior of
Calumet County District Attorney Ken
Kratz, 50.

Kratz admitted sending 30 text messages
in 3 days, last year, to a woman while
prosecuting her ex-boyfriend- Shannon
Konitzer in an abuse case.

Kratz texted sexual harassment minutes
after he told 26-year-old Stephanie Van
Groll, he was considering reducing the
charge against her ex-boyfriend per
criminal records. She wasn't in support
of the action.

Van Groll explained to state investigators
that the DA's text messages started coming
after she met with Kratz to be interviewed
about the case.

Kratz went on medical leave yesterday, and
hired an attorney.

A Look At Funky Fashion

Ask me a question, or leave
me a comment.

Funky Fashion has gone from
the bold look of the 90s to
glow-sticks, photon lights and
jewelry. There's all kinds of
clothing to give you the Funky
Fashion look.

Funky Fashion can be added to
an out-fit without destroying
your budget.

Animal prints can add a new look
to your out-dated wardrobe. A
zebra top will update last year's
capris. Slide into a pair of
comfortable sandals/shoes, and
you're ready.

Animal print dresses/skirts with
solid colored tops works. A jacket
can be worn with the outfit.

Arrange, mix-and-match, tops/dresses
and skirts to your taste. Pants go
well with animal prints.

Avoid wearing an animal print bottom
and top unless it's a set.

The layered look is hot. The more
necklaces, the better. Add several
bracelets. The jewelry will give a
dress, skirt/top, a whole new look.

If you ready want to go Funky Fashion,
polish each fingernail a different
color.

A trip to your beauty supply store for
hair color will finish your new look.
Anyone can wear Funky Fashion without
looking "weird." Simply, dress how you
would normally. The key is to have fun
with it.

Teens Texted For Marijuana But Reached The Wrong "Hook-Up"

Ask me a question, or leave
me a comment.

Two Montana teens, 15 and 16-year
old boys, texted looking for
marijuana but reached the wrong
"hook-up." The two texted the
local sheriff by mistake, and he
texted back. They tapped an
incorrect number.

"Hey dawg, do you have 20 i can
buy right now?" The teens texted
Louis and Clark County, Montana,
Sheriff Leo Dutton on August 25.
At first, Dutton explained that he
"thought it was a joke" but decided
to continue the conversation by
texting, "how much we talking?"

"I need 20 right now do you have
any?" It's reported the teens texted
back, not knowing they were texting
the chief law enforcement officer in
the area.

Dutton said he gave the case to a
narcotics officer who made a date to
meet the teens later in the day.

The parents of the teens took swift
action, which was a big part in the
decision not to charge the teens,
Dutton continued. He didn't give
specific parental punishment.

"I Thought The Cocaine Was Chewing Gum" - Paris Hilton

Ask me a question, or leave
me a comment.

Las Vegas prosecutors, yesterday,
didn't believe Hilton, 29, when
she explained, "I thought the
cocaine was chewing gum" defense.
The charge is felony drug possession.

The situation came about when the
hotel heiress and her boyfriend,
Cy Walls-34, were driving down Las
Vegas Boulevard late Friday.

A motorcycle police officer stopped
them after smelling marijuana fumes
coming from their Cadillac, Clark
County prosecutors.

A crowd gathered around. Officers
allowed Hilton inside The Wynn Hotel,
Vegas Police Lt. Dennis Flynn. "Hilton
said she needed to put some lip balm on,
and I handed her the purse from the table,"
Flynn wrote. "As she began to open it. I
saw a small bindle of what I believed to
be cocaine in a clear baggy to fall from
the purse and into my hand." Police stated
that they found cocaine in Hilton's purse,
but she denied owning the drugs or purse per
court papers.

Cash, credit cards, an Albuterol tablet and
Zig-Zag rolling papers, Hilton said belonged
to her.

"I asked Hilton whose cocaine it was, and she
said she had not seen it but now thought it
was gum," Flynn wrote.

David Chesnoff, Hilton's lawyer, declined to
comment on the case yesterday.

Alesaundra Tafoya, 3, walked
2 blocks to Fire Station 243,
fire-house the family goes by
regularly.

Alesaundra Tafoya's parents taught
her what places in their Northern
California community were safe to
go for help. She told fire-fighters
that her father was frozen and
wouldn't wake-up, according to reports.

"I've been here over 20 years," Captain
Robert Villalovoz remarked. "It's the
first time I've had a 3-year-old walk
up to the fire station."

Alesaundra took rescuers back to her
house. Her father was "sitting in the
living room, needing medical care,"
Villalovoz said.

Frank Tafoya, Alesaundra's father,
"took a mixture of medication I wasn't
supposed to at the time, a bed-time dose,
and I guess I collapsed." It's reported
that doctors commented that without prompt
medical attention, Frank Tafoya would have
died.

Dr. Laura Used The N Word 11 Times

Ask me a question, or leave

Dr. Laura Schlessinger, 63, has
been protested for using the N
word on air with a caller last
week.

The talk show radio host said
Tuesday that she will not renew her
contract. It's up, over, at the end
of the year.

She's been in the business for more
than 30 years.

"I want to be able to say what's on my
mind and in my heart and what I think
is helpful and useful without somebody
getting angry or some special interest
group deciding this is a time to silence
a voice of dissent," Schlessinger
explained.

Schlessinger used the N word 11 times in
a 5 minute call on the 10th of August.

"I'm not retiring. I'm not quitting," she
continued. "I feel energized actually,
stronger and freer to say the things that I
believe need to be said for people in this
country."

"I was attempting to make a philosophical point,
and I articulated the N word all the way out,
more than one time. And that was wrong. I'll
say it again, that was wrong," Schlessinger
apologized.

Lindsay Lohan Released From Jail

Ask me a question, or leave me

Lindsay Lohan was released from
the Lynwood Correctional Facility
after being there less than two
weeks on Monday.

Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel
sentenced Lohan 90 days for probation
violation.

Revel ordered Lohan to enter a substance
abuse rehabilitation program within 24
hours of leaving jail.

When Lohan was taken to jail on the 20th of
July, sheriff's spokesman made it clear that
her stay would be from 13 to 15 days.

The sheriff, person who runs the jail, can
release prisoners early due to good behavior
and/or over-crowding.

She has to go directly to a substance abuse
treatment center, Steve Whitmore, sheriff's
spokesman explained.

"The court order specified that certain named
people would pick her up. It's our understanding
she went directly to a treatment center," he
informed.

Whitmore didn't name which treatment center,
but shared she left with individuals in a mini-van.

John Lennon's Murderer Up For Parole

Ask me a question, or leave me

John Lennon's murderer, Mark David
Chapman, is up for parole- 6th time.
It's been 29 years since the former
Beatle's death.

In 2008, Chapman was up for parole,
but the State Division of Parole issued
a release explaining Chapman's request
was denied, because of public safety and
welfare concerns. Parole was
turned-down in 2000, 2002, 2004 and 2006.

Chapman is 55-years-old. He's serving 20
years to life for shooting Lennon outside of
Lennon's New York City apartment. It happened
in 1980, 8th of December.

He lives at the maximum security Attica

"He goes about his business, doing his prison
job and without any fanfare," Erik Kriss-
Department of Corrections spokesman.

For 20 years, he has been given conjugal visits
with his wife.

Lennon's widow, Yoko Ono, sent a letter
requesting parole be turned-down.

Porn Actors Text A Murder Plot

Ask me a question, or leave me

Jason Andrews, Chicago DJ, had roles
in many gay porn videos. Amanda Logue,
a Georgia woman, starred in a few X-rated
videos too.

The two stabbed a 41-year-old tattoo shop
owner to death using a sledgehammer, and
they texted some of their plans to each
other, Florida detectives explained.

"I'm so glad you're really committed to this
take. Keep eyes for a knife, etc for me."
Andrews typed on his BlackBerry hours before
the murder, per a transcript of the messages
included in court records.

Logue texted back how excited she was, and
wanted to have sex after the murder.

Police in Florida said the two killed Abrahamsen
in the early morning of May 15 and stole $6,000
cash, his credit cards and a video camera.
Abrahamsen hired Logue, whose porn name is "Sunny
Dae," to work at a sex party in his house.

Police said that's when Logue and Andrews set him
up. They traded dozens of text messages about their
murder plans.

Logue later denied that she had anything to do with
the killing, and said Andrews was the one who murdered
Abrahamsen.

Two months after Dennis "Scooter" Abrahamsen was found
dead in his Tampa area home, Logue and Andrews were
indicted by a grand jury on first degree murder charges.

Get High Drugs Online

Ask me a question, or leave me

Teens are getting high online,
because of MP3s that send them
into a state of ecstasy.

According to Kansas News 9, it's
called "i-dosing," and an online
dealer supply the digital drugs
through head-phones.

I-dosing is droning noise and listening
to music. The web sites promise to get
you high.

"Kids are going to flock to these sites
just to see what it is about and it can
lead them to other places," Mark Woodward-
Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous
Drugs spokesman.

Teens are getting a high off of tracks to
"Gates of Hades," and it's on YouTube, free.
The first hit is free.

It's reported that those who want a constant
high can buy tracks to bring the same effects
as marijuana, cocaine, opium and peyote.

A 40 page guide explains how to get high on MP3s.

Officials are looking closely at it.

Kansas' Mustang Public School district sent
letters to parents about it. They've banned
iPods at school, News 9 reported.

Lindsay Lohan Sentenced To Jail

Ask me a question, or leave me
a comment.

Judge Marsha Revel, on Tuesday,
ruled that Lohan, 23, violated
the terms of her probation in a
drunken driving case. She didn't
go to alcohol education classes.

"I wasn't trying to get special
treatment," Lohan pleaded. "I have
to provide for myself. I have to
work. Having said that, I did
everything to balance my jobs and
showing up. I'm not taking this as
a joke. I take responsibility for
my actions. I've tried to do the
best I can."

"Mean Girls," "Freaky Friday" and
"Herbie Fully Loaded" failed to comply
with the weekly attendance directive
for her alcohol education classes, the
prosecutor argued. An operator, Cheryl
Marshall, from the class testified that
Lohan had nine absences.

Revel was harsh with Marshall for not
reporting Lohan's behavior.

Lohan complied with the program, Shapman
Chapman Holley, Lohan's attorney.

Warning: Beware of Sunscreens

Ask me a question, or leave

There's disturbing evidence of a
link between skin cancer and a
chemical found in sunscreens.

The National Center for Toxicological
Research discovered a possible connection
between skin cancer and an ingredient,
chemical, found in sunscreens.

One study showed tumors and lesions
formed 21% faster when lab animals were
covered in sunscreens with retinyl
palmitate, found in most popular brands.

The Food and Drug Administration has been
sifting through the data since July 2009,
but hasn't made a conclusion.

Senator Charles Schumer, New York, wants
the Food and Drug Administration to be
clear, specific, with investigation
findings. Senator Schumer isn't suggesting
people stop using sunscreens, but check
the ingredients, he clarified. Avoid
sunscreens with retinyl palmitate,

With Age Comes Happiness

"It could be that there are environmental
changes," Arthur A. Stone- lead author
of the survey. Or, it could be psychological
changes, the way we see the world or brain
chemistry.

The results published online, in the
Proceedings of the National Academy of
Sciences, shed light on the aging process.

At 18, people have high hopes, feel good.
Life shows whose boss, throws hard-balls.
Those good feelings decline until age 50.

Happiness increases at age 50. At age 85,
people have more happiness than they had
at age 18.

Researchers measured well being. They found
that stress levels goes down from age 22,
and arrives at its lowest point at age 85.
Worry is constant until age 50, and it drops.

Anger lessens from 18, peaks at 50 and goes
down at 73. There's a small increase to 85.

Enjoyment and happiness lowers as people
reach 50, climbs for 25 years, declines little.

"It's a very encouraging fact that we can expect
to be happier in our early 80s than we were in our
20s," Andrew J. Oswald- professor of psychology
at Warwick Business School in England.

The findings posed more questions that require
more study, says Dr. Stone, Professor of psychology
at the State University of New York Stony Brook.

Google's Stands-Up Against China's Censorship

Google stopped its censoring of China's search results.
The Google.cn service is directing its Chinese users to
Hong Kong where they can enjoy an uncensored service.

"We want as many people in the world as possible to have
access to our services, including users in mainland China,
but the Chinese government has been crystal clear throughout
discussions that self-censorship is a non-negotiable legal
requirement," said Senior Vice President David Drummond,
Google's chief legal officer.

It is Google's wish that China's people have more access
to knowledge, information, Drummond mentioned.

Google's plan is to keep an eye on the site to make sure
mainland China is having full access.

Google set-up a launch page listing its
services in China- to be updated frequently.

Google is done with the filters that the Chinese
government slammed on certain searches prior to
permitting Google to do business.

The world watched as Google set-up shop, and other
countries like Iran will tailor Google to its
government's bidding if a stand isn't taken-
it's reported.

Google is done with the filters that the Chinese
government put on certain searches prior to
permitting Google to do business.

A survey found that 14 percent of Chinese users
prefer Google.

Onlookers and spectators suggest that the Chinese
government will continue its censorship.

Bickering Judges

Ask me a question, or leave
me a comment.

Where is Ellen DeGeneres?
Is she missing on purpose?
She hasn't been mentioned.

What's going on?

American idol have already
started taping.

Friction has been reported
between Degeneres and
Simon Cowell since DeGeneres'
first day.

DeGeneres was irritated when
Cowell showed-up late for
work, over one hour.

It was the first show taping
for DeGeneres. She re-arranged
her talk show taping. So, she
and Cowell started on a bad
note from day one.

The camera stops rolling, and
conversation between DeGeneres
and Cowell stops.

Since Cowell is leaving
the American Idol, DeGeneres
wants to step into Cowell's
position, place, in the show.

The new season starts in
February.

Who Wants Money From Michael Jackson?

Ask me a question, or leave
me a comment.

Attorneys for Michael Jackson's
estate filed papers stating that
Joe Jackson has no right, wasn't
dependent on Michael Jackson when
he was alive, and shouldn't get
any funds from his son's estate.

The elder Jackson said his monthly
expenses is more than $20,000
a month.

The $1,700 from social security
isn't enough.

The elder Jackson was left out
of the will.

Jackson is seeking funds, allowance,
to pay for legal fees, assistants,
traveling, his children, and
grandchildren.

At, eighty-one, Joe Jackson was
given a court date: January 28,

Simon Cowell Is Actually Leaving?

Ask me a question, or leave
me a comment.

Yes, Cowell said he was leaving American
Idol for another project. The loved-hated
judge has made a decision.

It's reported that he turned down $100
million dollars.

Cowell or the Fox Broadcasting Company
didn't disclose the actual amount.

He wants to work-with a new talent
search show, The X Factor.

"I didn't think it was right to do two
shows in America at the same time, so
I decided to leave one and start
another," Cowell explained.

Cowell will be executive producer, judge,
of The American X Factor.

Cowell has been acknowledged for the major
success of American Idol.

American Idol's high ratings slipped in the
last two seasons.

So, in fact, Simon Cowell is doing his
last season of American Idol.

There was no mention of who will
replace Cowell.

Harry Reid: Obama Didn't Use "Negro dialect"

Ask me a question, or leave me
a comment.

Reid, Democratic leader, is confronting
Republicans who are requesting that he
step down.

Republicans pointed-out Reid made the
following comments.

"Barack Obama could win the presidency because
he was "light-skinned" and did not use a "Negro
dialect, unless he wanted to have one."

"I accepted Harry's apology without question
because I've known him for years, I've seen
the passionate leadership he's shown on issues
of social justice, and I know what's in his heart,"
Obama said in his statement. "As far as I am
concerned, the book is closed."

Some say the comments were positive like
that of the Democratic party Chairman, Tim
Kaine.

"If you look at those comments, they clearly
were in the context of praising Sen. Obama,"
Kaine said.

A mind-set doesn't necessarily change with
the times, or a friend's accomplishments.

In my experience, a set-mind rarely changes.
It, the person, finds a way to survive, or
end-up like the dinosaurs.

What do you think?

Mo'Nique: Having Fun But Sensible

Ask me a question, or leave
me a comment.

"I've always wanted to be famous,"
Mo'Nique said. "I enjoyed watching
famous people and so I wanted to
be that."

She has reached her goal, dream.
She's having fun, but is sensible
about it.

"It's a part of the process but I
can't go crazy with it because I'm
also a wife and a mother, a talk
show host and a stand-up
comic," Mo'Nique explained.

Her role in "Precious," the
movie, involved issues she has faced
in her life, and successfully put to
rest.

She's, currently, a talk show host for
Black Entertainment Television, late
night.

She made working-out a priority,
but admits it's hard. She mentioned
that her weight slides back and forth
from 217 to 227. Her aim is to get-down
to 200 pounds.

Mo'Nique is a busy person who knows
how to have fun, but understands
life requires a sprinkling of sensible
judgment.

"I love to entertain, but I love being
honest while entertaining," she confirmed.
